Drama: Hearts and Minds

Just caught the last half of the BBC radio drama, ‘Hearts and Minds’ by Philip Palmer. The part I heard was both interesting and ridiculous(!) and I will try to listen to this again when it becomes available on iPlayer. The play focuses on Bradley Shoreham, a defence consultant who writes military exercises:

“Shoreham became a Consultant Subject Matter Expert. He spends his working life creating war games for training purposes. Fictional they may be but the higher the level of authenticity the greater their value to the participants. And when governments are paying for training they expect a high return for their money”.

Worth a listen.

  1. Was pretty bad! Rather tired use of lanuague and military references. Pompous stereotypes, Irish terroist, everyone had a first from Oxford. God….
