Political Geology

Fascinating workshop just distributed by Bronislaw Szerszynski to take place on the 21st June on Political Geology, organised by the Centre for the Study of Environmental Change and the Lancaster Environment Centre.

The link to the flyer is http://csec.lancs.ac.uk/docs/Political_Geology_flier.pdf

With talks by Katherine Yusoff, Nigel Clark, Deborah Dixon, Stuart Elden, Myra Hird, and Bronislaw Szerszynski, the conference is concerned that there has been “no concerted inquiry into the ways that the geophysical, as much as the biological, conditions what politics is and can be”.

Sounds brilliant.
