Blackett’s War

I’ve just come across Stephen Budianksky’s new book by way of an email from Linkedin..which makes me wonder what combinations of keywords and associations they are using to think I would be interested in this.

It is another story of operational research during the Second World War but focuses on the work of Patrick Blackett, a fascinating individual involved in bomb sight design and who, among other things, became director of operational research at the admiralty in 1942 and a nobel prize winner for Physics in 1948. There’s been various other biographies and edited collections about Blackett published elsewhere, but this one looks to tell a wider story.
