The APPG on Drones have an interesting blog about their activities in Parliament. Their work will initially be centered on three key areas: “the use of drones by the United States in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia and elsewhere; their use by the UK internationally; and their use domestically in the UK by police forces and others.” Within these themes they will also examine the legal and ethical frameworks which govern the use of drones.
Their post on ‘Challenging privacy? the civil use of drones in the UK‘ is particularly interesting given the current ongoing debates on privacy and surveillance. See, for instance, the write-ups at Open Geography and Society and Space.
