Embodying Militarism

In late September i missed the chance to attend a fascinating workshop in Cardiff organised by Lauren Greenwood and Synne Laastad Dyvik on Embodying Militarism. The workshop had a great lineup of speakers, including our own Pip Thornton. The organisers have sent me the report of the workshop, link below. They are planning a special issue of the new journal Critical Military Studies which has already published several excellent contributions from Cynthia Enloe, and of interest to military geographers, a wide reaching paper on ‘Geography, military geography, and critical military studies’, by Matthew Rech, Daniel Bos, Neil Jenkings, Alison Williams and Rachel Woodward.
