Josh Holmes – RGS-IBG Transport Geography Dissertation Award

One of the joys of teaching on our MSc Geopolitics and Security programme is that you are surrounded by high achieving individuals who hail from a diversity of backgrounds. And this year is no exception. The latest example of this is the recent news that Josh Holmes, a Durham University geography graduate, has been awarded the annual best undergraduate dissertation prize by the RGS-IBG Transport Geography Study Group. Josh’s dissertation was titled ‘Flying in the face of convention: exploring the spatial politics of affect and biopower within Dublin Airport’.
