Pip takes poem.py to the Science Museum

On May 23rd 2017 (TOMORROW – 1-2pm), our very own Pip Thornton will be presenting her work: A Critique of Linguistic Capitalism, as part of the Science Museum’s summer series of research seminars. The seminar will include an explanation of the genesis of her {poem}.py project and a live demonstration. Ben Curtis, a mathematician and fellow CDT student who worked with Pip on the code for the project, will also be there to discuss his experiences working on a cross-disciplinary project and to answer any technical questions.

Pip is a PhD student in Royal Holloway’s Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Cyber Security, and is co-supervised by Pete Adey in the Geography department.

You can find out more about Pip’s work on her blog Linguistic Geographies here.
